Summertime Camping Fun
Summertime in the Northwest is camping time. A time to celebrate the sunshine and the lush green mountains that makes all that rain worthwhile. I have fond memories of Girl Scout camps as a child, something I relished each summer down in Texas. My camping experiences centered around outdoor activities and, of course, the food. Even then I wanted to be in charge of planning the menu for my troop, building the foil-wrapped sun oven, and turning the lil smokies on the grill. My camping nirvana is enjoying the smells and sounds of the firepit under a clear starry sky with a mouthful of gooey, chocolatey crunch. Sigh… I need a moment.
Ok, I’m back. For your camping this season, here are some fun adult- and kid-friendly recipes.
