‘Tis the season to be giving! While we give gifts to family and friends this time of year, the holidays are also a wonderful time to give back to the community by supporting local nonprofit organizations. Many of them rely on holiday campaigns as a major source income for the year, however the need for supplies and money is there year-round.
Honest to Goodness’ core value of SERVICE also extends to our commitment to serve the community. When you hire a chef from Honest to Goodness for in-home meal prep, a home entertaining occasion, or prepared meal delivery, your decision impacts our community in a good way. Each year, we give back proudly to help Northwest nonprofits who ensure the most vulnerable members of the community have one of their most basic needs met — food. Our team volunteers its time in various activities, we donate to local auctions, and we contribute a percentage of our company’s net profits to hunger-alleviation programs.
We kindly ask you to be generous in your giving throughout the year to causes that are special to your heart wherever you are located.
Northwest Nonprofits We Support
The Sophia Way, an Eastside shelter and social services resource for homeless women, does amazing work in our community! In addition to providing a place to rest and sleep, as well as access to necessities such as a shower, laundry, and clothing, they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at their two shelters – Helen’s Place in Kirkland and Sophia’s Place in Bellevue. The Sophia Way relies on community members to prepare those meals, and we have had the pleasure of preparing and donating meals several times over the past few years. We’re planning our next meal donation soon and you can too! Signups are now open for dates in 2023. Learn more and sign up here.
Northwest Harvest works to provide equitable access to nutritious food to people across the state. Through their three distribution centers, they distribute a whopping average of 2 million meals each month through their partner network! For each new online review we receive on Yelp and Google, we will donate $20 to Northwest Harvest. We invite you to join us in being a resource for the community by taking a couple minutes to post a positive review for the good work we do. (Bonus: Copy your review to both sites for the best bang for our bucks!)
