Chef Kat Rutigliano

My interests in cooking as a career began while working in my parents' Mediterranean restaurant during high school. I am a classically trained chef, educated in San Francisco at the California Culinary Academy, with over 20 years of professional experience in large-scale catering, private chef services, and elevated in-home dining. My culinary career includes nine years living and cooking in Phoenix, Arizona, where I developed a deep appreciation for bold flavors, seasonal ingredients, and ingredient-driven cuisine inspired by the Southwest.

As a private chef in Seattle and parent of three, I believe exceptional meals should be both nourishing and visually stunning. I take a thoughtful, wellness-focused approach to cooking, crafting custom menus that accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions while never compromising on flavor, balance, or elegance. I am a master at adapting recipes to exclude food allergens. Whether preparing intimate dinners or curated catering experiences, my goal is to create food that feels personal, intentional, and memorable.

When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, tending my garden, or enjoying good food and laughter with friends.
